SERIES TITLE
Air Dispersion Modeling with AERMOD
SERIES DESCRIPTION:
The AERMOD modeling system is recognized by Appendix W to 40 CFR Part 51 (“Guideline on Air Quality Models”) as a preferred air dispersion model for assessing impacts in the near-field (< 50km from a release). This webinar provides attendees with a full understanding of the AERMOD modeling system including meteorological data processing, input requirements, postprocessing options, and special modeling scenarios.
Air Dispersion Modeling with AERMOD: Introduction & Overview
The AERMOD modeling system is recognized by Appendix W to 40 CFR Part 51 (“Guideline on Air Quality Models”) as the preferred air dispersion model for assessing impacts in the near-field (< 50km from a release). Part 1 of this webinar series introduces the AERMOD modeling system components, the theory behind AERMOD's calculations, and presents model input requirements such as meteorological data processing, building downwash, and more. Learn techniques to efficiently run the AERMOD model.
Air Dispersion Modeling with AERMOD: Refinements & Challenges
Expanding upon the concepts introduced in Part 1, Part 2 of this webinar series looks at refinements to performing AERMOD model runs. This includes a look at complex terrain theory using AERMAP and special topics like unique source types, odor modeling, urban dispersion, and more. A discussion on challenges in preparing and reviewing AERMOD input and output will also be presented to help attendees understand how to best set up their modeling analyses.
