An Introduction to Vapor Intrusion - What You Need to Know Now
Vapor intrusion (VI) has received a great deal of attention from regulators in recent years, and it is a potential issue for any site with subsurface organic contamination.  Therefore, the VI exposure pathway is an important issue for a wide range of industrial and public sector entities.  This A&WMA webinar will bring together experts in various aspects of VI and provide a cost effective training opportunity for site owners, their consultants, and regulatory staff.

The webinar will provide an introduction to this complex topic and is designed to give attendees a basic understanding of four key issues related to vapor intrusion studies, including:

  • Introduction to Vapor Intrusion
  • Vapor Intrusion Assessment Considerations
  • Data Analysis and Interpretation
  • Risk-Based Decision Making
  • Mitigation Techniques

Intended to provide attendees with a basic understanding of vapor intrusion and the issues it presents for successful site closure, the webinar is a prelude to the 7th national conference on vapor intrusion that AWMA is sponsoring on September 10-11, 2014 in Cherry Hill, NJ. To augment their learning, attendees will have an opportunity to submit questions, both in advance and in real time during the webinar.
