TRI Basics and Essentials: Efficient Reporting, Burden Reduction, and Best Practices

Toxic Release Inventory reports (TRI) are due to the United States Environmental Protection Agency every year on July 1.  This webinar will focus on the basics and best practices for developing an efficient and accurate report.  A brief overview of TRI, including an example for preparing a threshold determination, will be discussed at the beginning of the presentation.  An industry perspective will be given to demonstrate best practices for required input data and tracking to reduce burden and utilize existing databases of information.

Information on reporting air, water and waste releases will be provided with example calculations. Speakers will provide information on EPA guidelines for certain chemical reporting and common reporting nuances as well as providing recommendations on the most appropriate data to report.  Best practices for release reporting will be discussed and evaluated. An interactive approach will be used with polling questions and discussions.  Come prepared with your TRI questions.
