The Impact of the new PM2.5 NAAQS

The setting of a new PM2.5 NAAQS will have broad impacts. The PM2.5 NAAQS will define new nonattainment areas with the potential for changing permitting and enforcement requirements as state, local and tribal air agencies work to address nonattainment areas.  Attainment areas may be affected by updated transport rules to ensure that transport of PM2.5 precursors and emissions are accounted for.  EPA will also be releasing some new guidance and tools pertaining to  exceptional events with the new  standard, especially for wildfire and prescribed fire smoke.  The webinar will have up-to-date information and analysis of the broad impacts of the new standard.
