SURF Framework for Integrating Sustainability into Remediation Projects
The Sustainable Remediation Forum (SURF) has created a new framework for integrating sustainability into remediation projects. This framework enables sustainability parameters to be integrated and balanced throughout the remediation project life cycle, while ensuring long-term protection of human health and the environment and achieving public and regulatory acceptance. The attributes of the framework will be highlighted through a case study of the Santa Susanna site in Southern California.
